You probably ask yourself „Who is behind this?“… Just one person, me, Axel Kramer. And I run BAAM as my hobby horse besides a paid job. That’s also why BAAM does not have overheads 😉
I myself am an ambitious athlete, exploring the Swiss Alps on my road bike and have been a Finance guy at Unilever for many years, lastly as CFO at Oswald Nahrungsmittel. That’s also where I learned saving the money…
The idea came up, when I needed some new iso-drink and was pretty annoyed about the high price. From my experience with ambient powder production, I knew, true cost must be way cheaper.
„It can’t be that hard“, where my thoughts at the time and quickly called up a factory. From ideas phase, via first quotes, sample mixes and extensive testing with athletes, it took as about a year to produce our first batch.
